Need for Speed Carbon isn’t going to be lauded any time soon, particularly because it doesn’t change much from the original games. While this isn’t a bad thing, it still retains several problems and creates a few new ones. If you’ve been a fan of the Need for Speed series, you’re going to love it regardless.

NFS carbon takes a further step back from the Fast and the pointless movies and the Subaru Imprezza is no longer the pinnacle of your racing dreams (it's still pretty good in this one, though). I'm finally back behind the wheel of a Porshe, or an Aston martin, or a Mclaren.
The Bottom Line Need for Speed: Carbon was an extremely promising game with a lot of potential. Some aspects of the game are fantastic while others are severely lacking. Had Carbon been given another year of development time, it would've been a lot better. But in the end, Carbon just feels like another rushed EA game.
I think my main problem is that compared to this year’s best racing game, Test Drive Unlimited, Need for Speed: Carbon just doesn't hold a candle to it. Story - 5/10 Graphics - 6/10 Sound - 7/10 Control - 8/10 Game Play - 7/10 Replay value - 5/10 Final Score - 7/10
